HOW WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

Internationalisation rarely fits into one box.

A partnership may need facilitation. A university may want to bring internationalisation closer to everyday practice. An international programme may need learning designed for very different people and contexts. And a European project may need ideas, structure or specialist expertise across several stages.

That is why my work connects three areas:

Bring me in for one specific need or involve me in a longer process.

International Partnerships & Collaboration

When working internationally means finding ways to work well together

International partnerships bring together different institutions, professional cultures, expectations and ways of working. That can make a collaboration richer, but also more complex.

I work with partners and teams to untangle complex issues, align expectations easier and find ways of working together that actually suit everyone. When that happens, less time is lost to misunderstandings, repeated conversations or unclear decisions, and more time for the partnership to get on with its actual purpose.

This can include:

  • New partnerships establishing expectations, roles and ways of working from the beginning
  • Existing partnerships where collaboration has become more demanding than expected
  • Erasmus+, European and other international consortia, alliances and multi-partner collaborations
  • Roles, responsibilities and expectations across partners, work packages and activities
  • Communication, coordination and decision-making across international teams and consortia
  • Different organisational capacities, working cultures and approaches to implementation
  • Intercultural communication and facilitation between organisations and teams

Bring me between partners

Sometimes you need someone who can help the people make sense of the dynamics and find a better way to work together.

I am not an agent or representative of either side. I focus on the people, the relationships and shared goals, helping partners understand each other and create the conditions for a successful collaboration over time.

Internationalisation, Learning & Capacity-building

Putting international and intercultural perspectives into practice

Internationalisation does not happen only through mobility, partnerships, relocations or international projects. It also happens in services, teams, curricula and everyday practice at home.

I design learning that helps people work, teach, research and collaborate more effectively across cultures and contexts, and guides universities and organisations bringing international and intercultural perspectives into what they actually do.

From a focused training to a longer capacity-building programme, the learning is designed around who it is for, what it needs to achieve and where it will be used.

IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Making internationalisation part of everyday university practice, not only an international office responsibility.

Faculty

I work with academic staff to bring international and intercultural perspectives into teaching, research and curriculum practice.

Areas of practice

  • Bringing interculturalisation and Internationalisation of the Curriculum (IIoC) into teaching and curriculum design
  • Developing intercultural competence for teaching, research and academic collaboration
  • Applying critical intercultural perspectives to knowledge, power, epistemologies and Global North–Global South relations
  • Integrating intercultural perspectives into research and knowledge production
  • Working more effectively with international and intercultural classrooms

Staff

Internationalisation also happens through the services and people that shape everyday university life, from international relations and student services to communication, administration and institutional processes.

I help professional staff respond to international and intercultural realities through more effective communication, services and working habits, both locally and internationally.

Areas of practice

  • Bringing Internationalisation at Home (IaH) into everyday services and practices
  • Communicating effectively with international students, staff and partners
  • Working effectively across cultures, perspectives and professional contexts
  • Adapting student and staff support to different needs and contexts
  • Improving communication and service provision in international and intercultural settings
  • Strengthening collaboration across departments, institutions and international teams
  • Developing intercultural competence for everyday professional practice

Students

I work with Master’s and PhD students to develop the intercultural and professional skills they need to study, research, collaborate and build their careers across international contexts.

Areas of practice

  • Developing intercultural competence for academic, research and professional contexts
  • Working and collaborating effectively across cultures and perspectives
  • Communicating in international and intercultural academic environments
  • Preparing for and making sense of international mobility and experiences
  • Developing professional skills for international careers and opportunities
  • Reflecting critically on knowledge, perspectives and positionality in international research and academic work

End-to-end design & delivery

I can work with you from the initial need or idea through to programme design, resources, facilitation and evaluation, or focus on the part where external expertise is most useful.

I can work directly with academic or professional staff, students or other university groups, prepare your own team to deliver the programme, or design it so that the university can take it forward independently.

The level of involvement depends on your context, the people involved and what you want the programme to achieve.

IN ORGANISATIONS

Helping people work better together, build useful skills and improve how things get done across cultures and contexts.

Teams & organisations

I design practical learning for teams working across different cultures, countries, professional backgrounds and ways of working.

The aim may be to solve an existing problem, prepare people for a new challenge or strengthen the skills and working practices that help a team collaborate more effectively and get better results.

Areas of practice

  • Strengthening communication and collaboration across cultures, countries and professional contexts
  • Building intercultural competence for international and diverse teams
  • Improving teamwork when different expectations, communication styles and ways of working are creating friction
  • Developing practical skills for international collaboration
  • Preparing teams for new international roles, partnerships or cross-country projects
  • Strengthening collaboration and working practices in remote and distributed international teams
  • Developing problem-solving, leadership and collaboration skills for complex working environments

Built around a real need

Training does not have to start with a predefined topic.

You may know that something in the team or process could work better without knowing exactly what kind of training you need. I can help identify the learning need, define what the intervention should support and build the programme around it.

European & international programmes

I design and facilitate learning for participants, volunteers, youth workers, educators, trainers, project teams and other groups involved in European and international programmes.

Different countries and participant profiles can make these programmes particularly rich — but they also mean that the same activity, examples or ways of learning will not necessarily work for everyone.

Areas of practice

  • Training and facilitation for Erasmus+, SALTO Youth and other European and international programmes
  • Learning and capacity-building across countries and organisational contexts
  • Intercultural competence, communication and collaboration for participants and project teams
  • Leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and collaboration in international and digital environments
  • Train-the-trainer and facilitator development
  • Methodologies, toolkits and learning resources that can be used and adapted across different contexts
  • Learning processes that connect programme objectives with participants’ realities and experiences

Global justice & social impact

I work with organisations addressing global justice, social inequalities and international issues to turn complex subjects into learning that people can understand, question and connect to their own contexts.

Here, the goal is not to simplify complexity away. It is to make it possible to work with it: bringing different perspectives into the conversation, questioning assumptions and creating learning that can support reflection, professional practice and action.

Areas of practice

  • Global justice education and learning
  • Global North–Global South relations and global inequalities
  • Critical intercultural perspectives
  • Interculturality, power and different ways of understanding the world
  • Training for professionals, educators, volunteers and participants working on social and international issues
  • Designing educational programmes, methodologies and resources around complex global issues
  • Facilitator and trainer development for organisations that want to continue or adapt the learning internally

From design to delivery (or handover)

I can design and facilitate the whole programme, collaborate on one part of it, or develop the approach, methodology and resources for your own team to use.

That can mean working directly with participants, preparing your team to deliver the programme, or combining both.

The format follows the need, not the other way around.

International projects & programmes

From ideas and opportunities to programmes that happen

International projects often bring together complex goals, multiple stakeholders and very diverse contexts.

I bring ideas, structure and specialist expertise to shape international programmes and projects, from early possibilities and goals through development and implementation.

Whether you have a clear project, a funding opportunity, or just a rough idea, I can jump in at any point and stay involved as it develops.

Where I can contribute

  • Initial ideas, concept and programme development
  • Translating international strategies, priorities or funding opportunities into programmes and initiatives
  • Learning design and architecture
  • Capacity-building strategies and activities
  • Methodologies, toolkits, guides and educational resources
  • Knowledge-sharing and dissemination
  • Facilitation and work with participants, partners and project teams

Bring me between partners

I can become part of the team as an expert consultant, contributing across different stages of an international alliance, European or Erasmus+ project, or other international programme. That might mean staying involved across a longer process, taking responsibility for a particular area, or stepping in with specialist expertise when it is most useful.

You do not need to fit the project around a predefined service. We can shape my role around what you actually need and where I can add the most value.

Start where you are

You may already know exactly what you need. Or you may have a partnership, idea, programme or project that isn’t quite clear yet.

Either is fine.

I can step in for a focused piece of work or stay involved through a longer process. The work is tailored to your context, your team and your goals.

One size doesn’t fit all.
